Journal Graphics in Portland, Oregon is a progressive, growing, well established 65-year old family owned commercial web press printing company serving a national market. Our services include sales and
customer service, prepress, pressroom, custom binding, fulfillment and mailing. We are located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and are within hours of the spectacular Pacific Ocean, Cascade Mountains and high desert.
Positions
Electronic PrePress Technician
Our state-of-the-art EPP department has an open position for an electronic prepress technician. This position requires proficiency in all prepress applications, with an attention to detail and a proven ability to produce quality work in a fast paced environment. High school equivalent communication, reading, writing and math skills required.
EPP is staffed seven days a week; day and night shifts.
Bindery Department
This department is hiring for all levels of experienced and highly motivated bindery workers who have experience on stitchers, perfect binders, cutters, folders and other general bindery equipment. Requires organizational and communication skills; attention to detail and proven ability to product quality work. Basic communication, reading, writing and math skills required.
The bindery department operates on a 24/7 schedule with 10-12 hour shifts.
Mailing Department
Our expanding mailing operation has openings for experienced ink jet general mailing sorters. This position requires a minimum one year experience in a mailing business, strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and proven ability to produce quality work. Basic communication, reading, writing and math skills required.
The mailing department operates on a 24/7 schedule with 10-12 hour shifts.
Press Department Operators, Seconds and Roll Tenders
The press department is hiring for all positions. Applicants must have several years experience in a commercial web heatset press facility. We are committed to customer satisfaction. These positions require strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and proven ability to produce quality work. High school equivalent communication, reading, writing and math skills required.

Shipping/Warehouse
Journal Graphics has several openings for experienced shipping/warehouse workers. Candidates must have a minimum two years work history using UPS and FedEx shipping systems, 10-key and keyboard skills, and forklift experience. It requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. High school equivalent communication, reading, writing and math skills required.
Shipping/warehouse is staffed seven days a week; day and night shifts.
