Our Impact

In today’s modern business world, success doesn’t mean just making money. It means making the right choices as well. At Journal Graphics, we measure our success in our environmental stewardship and social responsibility as well. We want to ensure that we are making life better for those who live, work, and play in our community.

CARING FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT

Sustainable practices extend far beyond just recycling. We continually evaluate our facility and equipment to minimize emissions and waste, striving to exceed state and federal guidelines.

FSC Chain-of-Custody Certified Printer - committed management best practices required to maintain environmentally superior and responsibly sourced certified papers

Locally Sourced Paper - purchasing much of our paper from an Oregon-based paper mill located just 24 miles from our plant.

Paper Recycling Program - all paper waste is 100% recycled through International Paper

Waterless Platemaking – 2021 Installation of a new printing plate that does not require water for processing, saving gallons of water each day.

CONNECTING WITH OUR COMMUNITY

A strong community is vital in creating healthy neighborhoods and successful businesses. Journal Graphics is committed to working in tandem with organizations in the region to support their efforts and contributions to those they serve. We do this in a variety of ways:

Donate our resources to causes that communicate our values.

Encourage staff to get involved, providing every full-time employee paid-time off to volunteer.

Focus our local efforts on three main areas: food insecurity, affordable housing, and education.

CREATING MEANINGFUL PARTNERSHIPS

Investing in our trade makes us better at what we do best -- printing. We partner with several associations to stay on the cutting edge of technology, trends and techniques in our industry. The more we learn about what we do and the regional marketplace we serve, the more our customers benefit.
